Short film: She’s So Gone
Directed By: Max Cole
Leads: Troof Be Told & BOBBi DEAN
Production Assistant: Pearl Miramontes
This film was a blast to direct! The short film concept was inspired by Troof Be Told’s “She’s So Gone” record. From the creation of the concept, to the execution of the vision, this is certainly one of my favorite pieces because this is the type of imagery and visual concept that I enjoy executing the most.
The concept is simple: A classic revenge story. Muscle car drives to location. The angry girlfriend opens the trunk. She exits the vehicle and walks to the rear of the vehicle. The boyfriend awaits his fate. He’s bound… can’t escape. Boyfriend falls to the ground, desperately trying to escape. He manages to crawl to the front of the vehicle. The angry girlfriend slowly walks to the front… pulls out a silenced weapon… shoots him cold-blooded… then walks away… She’s “so far gone” that it came down to this.
The shoot day was filled with adventure. I wanted to catch the desert sunset, so we moved quickly and shot the video in under 3 hours. We also avoided getting arrested after an officer asked us if we were dumping bodies. Gotta love it. Fun memories.
S/O to the lead actress BOBBi DEAN and Troof Be Told for their hard work in the film. BOBBi DEAN and I have also collaborated on a short film piece that will be released soon. Also, S/O to our production assistant Pearl Miramontes. You are delightful.
Expect more fresh visuals soon. I really love and appreciate what I do.
